New York law requires valid proof of age before alcoholic beverages may be served. Guests may be asked to present an unexpired government-issued photo identification document.
Accepted documents may include a valid driver license, state identification card, passport, passport card, or military identification. Identification must be original, current, readable, and belong to the person presenting it.
Alcohol service may be refused when identification cannot be verified, appears altered, is expired, or does not reasonably match the guest. Staff may also refuse service when required by law or responsible service practices.
